Came back to the uk on the 11th June from Palma, the missus and I got to the airport during that massive storm that hit the airport. I’ve never seen rain like it.

They should get some with the silver livery, it would look absolutely class, so much better than the 737 i was on last year.

i love the video Sam and the condor livery but my eyes are having trouble with the red and white text.

By far the best and most exciting of your trip reports that I have seen, Sam. Extended footage of Palma Airport was interesting, The sound of the RB211 engines on a high-thrust takeoff on a super stretch 757-300 was just awesome! Very clear takeoff and landing scenery and during the cruise of the Alps, including The Matterhorn and Lake Geneva. A total triumph, Sam!

No seat entertainment? What’s the aircraft’s registration code? I flew on Wamos Air in December 2023 and there was seat entertainment.

These are really high-quality videos that capture the atmosphere perfectly! TUI seem like a nice airline to fly with. Announcements may be a bit over the top! It's supposed to be a holiday, not a school trip. I suppose they have to cater for the lowest common denominatior though so fair play. 😂

Where is that plane departing to? Did it continue to it's final destination or divert? It's not Hydraulic failure. I think it's because the tire is hot when it arrive, taxi and depart on a hot weather, my guess is at 3 000 to more than 5 000 feet, the landing gear is up or the pilot forgot to retract the landing gear. Do you remember what's the ground temperature when the plane takeoff without retracting the landing gear?

I used to fly as an infant from the early 1980s from the airport. I remember vividly the airport experience of the holiday and flew with some of the those and airlines, all gone now. I can confirm that flying back then was really special and people used to wear nice or at least decent clothes. The food on the planes was really nice and with 3 courses, most of the time. The best were Britannia and Monarch until Air 2000 came along in 1988. The 757s and 767s were the very new models at that time and very quiet compared to the old 1:11 737s and 727s of Dan Air. There was also a smoking section on the plane. My favourite was the British Airtours, later Caledonian Tristars. They were magic to fly on
